During the Nevada Water Resources Association (NWRA) 2020 Annual Conference (Feb 11-13), UNLV Geoscience high school intern Anya Zhang presented her work on the trace metals in springs from the Moapa Valley, NV, and won the best undergraduate poster presentation competition (http://www.nvwra.org/student-poster-competition). Zhang is a sophomore from Ed W. Clark High School. UNLV Geoscience graduate students Chris DeFelice and Hazel Lee also participated in this project under the supervision of Prof. Shichun Huang. The NWRA Annual Conference discusses current and ongoing statewide water issues that are critical to the Nevada’s rapid growth.
