Looking to satisfy your Science distribution requirements?
The General Education Distribution Requirement at UNLV includes two science courses, one of which must include a laboratory. Typically, students meet this requirement by taking one lecture class (3 credits) and either one combined lecture/lab class (4 credits) or a lecture class that coordinates with a separate lab class (3+ 1 credits). The UNLV Geoscience Department offers a number of courses that will meet part, or all of the Science Distribution Requirement. In addition to traditional on campus classes, we also offer many general education courses, including laboratories, in online format.
