We would like to highlight the amazing work conducted by our graduate students in putting together a very successful first virtual Geosymposium:
First and foremost, thank you to Chris DeFelice, who put together a great Geosymposium during these difficult times.
Suzanne Mulligan did an excellent job with organizing the silent auction.
Susie Hertfelder was organizing and in touch with our keynote speaker before we had to cancel.
Lauren Parry and Genevieve were our design team, and if we get to make bags/t shirts, it will be with their designs!
Laura Dye was helping reach out to judges and potential sponsors.
Sarah Grove helped with venue selection and was organizing with GSN and AAPG for judges and a donation for the reception.
Amanda Ostwald and the Association of Women Geologists for putting together a poster presentation and donating to the silent auction.
Alex Newsom and Caroline Cohen for being a part of the committee, giving feedback, and looking into new options for photography/video recording and advertisement of the event.
Everyone included here went above and beyond what they needed to contribute.
Thank you also to Cory Nelson at the UNLV Foundation was incredible and extremely supportive.
Thank you to all who participated and attended!
