GeoSymposium Field Trip

This year's field trip will feature stops in Lake Mead National Recreation Area, NV. To celebrate our 10th Anniversary there will also be a sightseeing cruise on the lake! You are invited to either join us for the whole day, or to only attend the boat ride in the morning. Please indicate on the registration form which option you prefer. There is a limit on the number of people that can attend the Lake Mead Cruise, so please be sure to RSVP as soon as possible!

The boat ride will last from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and will feature a catered brunch including pastries, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, fruit, yogurt, granola, coffee, orange juice, iced tea, and lemonade. We also plan to have a guest speaker give a brief lecture on the geology of the area.

If you are attending the full field trip, we will depart from Lilly Fong Geoscience (LFG) parking lot at 8:30 am and return around 5:00 pm. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Those only participating in the Lake Mead sightseeing cruise will be responsible for their own transportation and park entrance fee. Please be at the marina no later than 9:45am. The boat will depart at 10:00 sharp.
