In the last 22 years, Geoscience graduate students have 13 times received the College of Sciences Thesis Award, and 7 times received the UNLV Alumni Association Outstanding Thesis Award. Stated another way, 59% of the time, our Department has earned the best thesis award for the College of Sciences, and 32% of the time, the best thesis award for the entire University.
