PACROFI 2010
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

We are excited to announce that the tenth Pan-American Current Research on Fluid Inclusions (PACROFI) conference will be held on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from June 7th through June 10th, 2010. The meeting is the ideal venue for presenting fluid and melt inclusion research.

NOTE:
PACROFI will be held the week prior to the Goldschmidt Conference in Knoxville, TN, USA.

Registration and Abstracts: Details will be posted by the end of November, 2009.

Field Trips: We are planning two field trips. One four day field trip will focus on the world class Carlin-type gold deposits of north-central Nevada. This field trip is tentatively scheduled for June 3rd through 6th (prior to the meeting). A second two-day field trip will focus on plutonic-volcanic connections in the Colorado River Extensional Corridor just south of Las Vegas. This field trip is tentatively scheduled for June 11th and 12th (following the meeting).

If you have an idea for a session and/or workshop, please contact the local organizing committee (contact information below).

We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas in June, 2010!

Sincerely,

The PACROFI-X Organizing Committee:
